After watching this program gain in popularity, I decided to try it。 The principles are sound, diets don't work if you don't change your eating habits。 The recipes are great and easy to follow, you don't feel deprived or have to keep a seperate pantry for the diet。 And it works。 Try it for yourself。 This book gives some clear guidance on establishing and maintaining your diet program。 It makes it much easier and clearer what to expect from the start。 After watching this program gain in popularity, I decided to try it。 The principles are sound, diets don't work if you don't change your eating habits。 The recipes are great and easy to follow, you don't feel deprived or have to keep a seperate pantry for the diet。 And it works。 Try it for yourself。 This book gives some clear guidance on establishing and maintaining your diet program。 It makes it much easier and clearer what to expect from the start。 。。。more

Hands down the easiest, healthy cookbook! The recipes are broken down into sections by topic (breakfast, snack, sweets etc。) and then each recipe has a green, yellow, red code for how calorie dense the recipe is。 Also each recipe has a gorgeous picture accompanying it。 I cannot wait to try all the salad dressing recipes。 Oh and all the recipes are easily trackable on the Noom app so added bonus!

It’s a new year with new health goals, so this cookbook seemed like a good starting point。 I have dabbled in the NOOM program previously but plan on recommitting。 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘖𝘖𝘔 𝘒𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯 begins by giving an overview of their beliefs and values, which focuses on realistic and balanced lifestyle choices and healthful habits。 Foods are not “good” or “bad” but are instead color-coded based on nutrient and caloric density; food-shaming is discouraged, moderation is key。 After also briefly reviewing importan It’s a new year with new health goals, so this cookbook seemed like a good starting point。 I have dabbled in the NOOM program previously but plan on recommitting。 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘖𝘖𝘔 𝘒𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯 begins by giving an overview of their beliefs and values, which focuses on realistic and balanced lifestyle choices and healthful habits。 Foods are not “good” or “bad” but are instead color-coded based on nutrient and caloric density; food-shaming is discouraged, moderation is key。 After also briefly reviewing important cooking tools, ingredients, and techniques, the book then gets into its collection of recipes, which are color-coded according to their system and divided into the following categories: Breakfast and Brunches, Soups and Salads, Meat and Poultry, Seafood, Vegetarian, Side Dishes, Snacks, and Desserts。There is a nice breadth and variety of dishes in 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘖𝘖𝘔 𝘒𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯, but I wouldn’t say there are any particularly unique or memorable recipes that would make it stand out against other healthy cookbooks。 Nonetheless, I think it would make a good resource for anyone on the NOOM program and I look forward to attempting a few of dishes。 I am a big fan of seafood and salads, so I will likely start with those!Thank you to Simon Element and NetGalley for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more

I took my time to make sure I could test all the recipes in this book, and see if they were as good as they looked。 They did not disappoint, and they also help both me and my Husband lose a little weight too。 Noon is more a readjustment of your attitude to food, rather than a diet, and this is apparent in the recipes。 the pictures are colorful and represent the dishes accurately。 I'd definitely recommend this book, and will be purchasing a couple for friends who I know will get a lot of use out I took my time to make sure I could test all the recipes in this book, and see if they were as good as they looked。 They did not disappoint, and they also help both me and my Husband lose a little weight too。 Noon is more a readjustment of your attitude to food, rather than a diet, and this is apparent in the recipes。 the pictures are colorful and represent the dishes accurately。 I'd definitely recommend this book, and will be purchasing a couple for friends who I know will get a lot of use out of it。 。。。more

As someone who has used the Noom program in the past, this book is what I had expected。 The program is designed to show you how to make healthier choices and still enjoy what you’re eating。 This followed suit with an assortment of recipes such as Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream, and B。L。A。T。 (Turkey Bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato)。 This would appeal to anyone who loves cookbooks and is interested in eating healthier。It has recipes that are very simple to follow。 Time length of recipes also rang As someone who has used the Noom program in the past, this book is what I had expected。 The program is designed to show you how to make healthier choices and still enjoy what you’re eating。 This followed suit with an assortment of recipes such as Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream, and B。L。A。T。 (Turkey Bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato)。 This would appeal to anyone who loves cookbooks and is interested in eating healthier。It has recipes that are very simple to follow。 Time length of recipes also range from quick to a little more involved。 Thank you Simon Element for providing an advanced copy via NetGalley。 。。。more

The Noom Kitchen has helped me see food in a different way。 The writing is great and easy to read and the dressing recipes are wonderful and full of flavor。 I have only done one soup recipe (Creamy Tortilla Soup) which was wonderful and easy to make。 This cookbook is one of my favorites and I will definitely be adding this to my rotation of cookbooks I use。 Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of The Noom Kitchen in exchange for an honest review。

This cookbooks starts out like most。 It gives an explanation for the Noom plan, pantry staples, and then starts in the recipes。 They are not particularly groundbreaking but many or very simple and easy to follow。 But as someone who does not eat a lot of meat, I feel like this cookbook is not as useful as I hoped。

The Chicken-Shrimp gumbo is fantastic! Have never made roux like this before—full flavor without a lot of the stuff I don’t need。

Like most cookbooks, this collection is a combination of hit and miss。 Some of the recipes were on the easier side, with few ingredients。 Many others were more intricate and contained more ingredients than a recipe needs。 The Noom philosophy was new to me so I enjoyed learning about it。 Overall, I walked away with some new recipes but don’t believe this was the book for me。

If you're at all familiar with the Noom program, this book will provide little, if any, new information (though I will admit that 'orange' meals were a new concept for me。。。)。Overall, I found this book to be disappointing。 I was hoping for unique and inspiring new recipes, but most of the ones I saw were either so basic that I question why a recipe is needed (roasted chickpeas), or complex and involving a lot of specialized ingredients (which they promised in the intro would not be the case)。 An If you're at all familiar with the Noom program, this book will provide little, if any, new information (though I will admit that 'orange' meals were a new concept for me。。。)。Overall, I found this book to be disappointing。 I was hoping for unique and inspiring new recipes, but most of the ones I saw were either so basic that I question why a recipe is needed (roasted chickpeas), or complex and involving a lot of specialized ingredients (which they promised in the intro would not be the case)。 And so many salads。 Don't get me wrong, I like a good salad, but I don't feel like I need multiple recipes for them。 Or to see other recipes outside of the salad section then presented on top of a pile of fresh greens, looking suspiciously like another。。。 salad! Surprise!I also found it odd that they chose to include an assortment of cooking tips in a section at the beginning of the book, many of which would only apply to one recipe。 Example: how to wrap bananas in rice paper for the banana loti recipe, included in the final chapter on desserts。 Why not include such things closer to the recipe itself so that the reader does not have to page back & forth?I feel like the ARC was missing a key accessibility feature in that nowhere did I see color indicators for any of the recipes。 I could not easily page through the book to find green meals, for example。 I even looked to make sure I wasn't missing a label somewhere that was in black & white but indicated the meal color category, but nope。 This will likely not be a problem with the final published version, but it's hard to evaluate the book when I can't use one of the features that is core to their philosophy/approach to eating and a major selling point to the book。Note: I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this title from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for my honest review。 。。。more

I have been for several years now looking for a way to lose the weight。 I have talked with my doctor and she said with exercise and a better plan to eat healthier, that I should see the result。 In the past I had tried everything and even got interested in doing Noom。 But I was a little hesitant like many because so many other options were failures for me。 This is where The Noom Kitchen comes into play。 I found several recipes that I could adapt into my healthier lifestyle and I am proud to say t I have been for several years now looking for a way to lose the weight。 I have talked with my doctor and she said with exercise and a better plan to eat healthier, that I should see the result。 In the past I had tried everything and even got interested in doing Noom。 But I was a little hesitant like many because so many other options were failures for me。 This is where The Noom Kitchen comes into play。 I found several recipes that I could adapt into my healthier lifestyle and I am proud to say that I have lost even a few pounds since reading this book。 It has helped me understand what I was doing wrong in the kitchen and how to even modify for my food allergies。 I will be purchasing this book next year to add to my cookbook collection and use it more than I do the others。 。。。more

I am not familiar with the noom program and have never used it。 There's a brief description of their "philosophy" at the beginning of the book, which is a focus on nutrition density and fiber。 This sounded like a good match for me。 I'd hoped to get some new ideas。。。 Overall, I found the recipes too much work! (Note: I am a person who cooks from scratch every single day)。The ingredients lists were very (very) long。 For example, there are 18 ingredients in the BLACK BEAN & QUINOA BREAKFAST burrito I am not familiar with the noom program and have never used it。 There's a brief description of their "philosophy" at the beginning of the book, which is a focus on nutrition density and fiber。 This sounded like a good match for me。 I'd hoped to get some new ideas。。。 Overall, I found the recipes too much work! (Note: I am a person who cooks from scratch every single day)。The ingredients lists were very (very) long。 For example, there are 18 ingredients in the BLACK BEAN & QUINOA BREAKFAST burritos。 I have been making vegan breakfast for over a decade and do not need 19 different ingredients。 The cook time is also 25-35 minutes。 One of the reasons I make breakfast burritos is because they only take a couple minutes。 It just feels like they made a simple breakfast so hard。 The recipe also serves 6。 That's quite of breakfast burritos。 Another thing that annoyed me was the recipe-in-a-recipe。 Sometimes two recipes were together。 For example the Italian wedding soup uses meatballs and the ingredient list and directions for the meatballs is on the same page。 However with the Cucumber & Heart of Palm Salad there is the mentioning of a dressing specifically for this salad but it is on another page of the book。 There was plenty of white space to include it with the salad and it's not used in another recipe。。。As for new ideas, I didn't find many。 There might be some if you haven't been cooking or looking at cookbooks or recipes。 Here are some examples of recipes:breakfast burritosavocado toast (technically they use a bagel)chilaqules granolachickn noodle soup smoothies italian wedding soupwhite bean & sausage soup vegetable soup tortilla soup borscht gumbotabbouleh five-bean saladBLTchinese chicken saladchicken piccatabeef stir-fry tuna sandwich shrimp taco Finally, there aren't a lot of vegan recipes but to be fair, the cookbook doesn't advertise it is vegan or even vegan-friendly。 There is a vegetarian section, however, with 8 recipes: cauliflower pizza crust, spiced eggplant steaks, chimichurri cabbage, tofu mango summer rolls, sweet potato shep pie, coconut crusted tofu, broccoli risotto, spinach & feta "hot pockets", veggie patties。Many of the soups and side dishes could be adapted to be vegan or vegetarian。 I made the cauliflower soup and thought it was clever to use sunflower seeds as the alternative to potatoes or some kind of dairy-cream。 If I make it again I think I will swirl in some sunflower seed butter as even with a blendtec, I still felt the soup was a little gritty from the seeds。 Perhaps overnight soaking would have helped。 Unfortunately nothing appealed to us except the soup I tried and the Sweet & Spicy Brussel Sprouts however their method of cooking was laborsome and tiring so I just did my usual: put them in the air fryer then tossed them with the "sauce" ingredients。 Sadly it was too sweet。 I thought 1 tbsp honey (we used maple instead) sounded like a lot on top of gochunung, which already has sugar, but I try not to alter recipes too much when "testing" for a review。 I do think I'll dilute gochung with water and toss that over air-fried brussels another time though。Thanks netgalley for my ARC。 。。。more

Thank you to NetGalley for the op poor review this cookbook。 I loved how every recipe has a picture of how it should look。 The recipes were easy to click though on my phone。 While the recipes aren’t very family friendly, they are a great guide on how to eat healthier and lose weight。

Stunning photos of the recipes prepared。 I know I’ll make a few of these recipes especially the chicken tagine。 Just had it in Morocco and now I’ll be able to make it at home。

I was excited to read an early copy of this cookbook since I see the Noom advertisements on social media and was really curious to explore this program。 What I discovered is a very approachable way of cooking and eating that can help me and you get more healthy! This program is about “getting more nutrients and fewer calories out of every bite, without sacrificing taste or enjoyment”。 There are no rules or restrictions, just rethinking how we prepare meals to get maximum balance and nutrition。 I I was excited to read an early copy of this cookbook since I see the Noom advertisements on social media and was really curious to explore this program。 What I discovered is a very approachable way of cooking and eating that can help me and you get more healthy! This program is about “getting more nutrients and fewer calories out of every bite, without sacrificing taste or enjoyment”。 There are no rules or restrictions, just rethinking how we prepare meals to get maximum balance and nutrition。 I was reminded, in this book, that the more water a food contains, the lower it’s calorie density because water adds volume without adding calories making the food more filling。 Nothing wrong with almonds, but I can’t eat as many, leaving me unsatisfied。 This is NOT rocket science, I get it! But it’s always good to get a reminder and refresh on how we are preparing food and how to feed ourselves to be more healthy! The Noom program is based on some familiar but powerful and easy to implement reminders such as, “moderation is more sustainable than restriction”, “eating at home is a SUPER STRATEGY”, and all the recipes are “flavor forward” and adaptable for cooks of any skill level。 There are helpful guides for stocking the pantry and freezer and what tools are needed in the kitchen。 Now let’s get to the recipes, because they are GOOD! In the breakfast chapter, Chai spiced overnight oats, Black bean and quinoa burritos and Crispy Quinoa granola all all sounded delicious to me。 A few of the recipes in Soup and Salad that I can’t wait to try are the Creamy tortilla soup, the Shrimp and Chicken Gumbo, and the Chopped salad with creamy lemon dressing。 Meat and Poultry has some intriguing options like Chicken Piccata Pasta, Open Faced Patty Melts, and Grilled Shrimp and Papaya Pasta Salad。 There are plenty of vegetarian options as well, such as, Mushroom stuffed lettuce cups, Spinach and feta hot pockets, and Sweet Potato Shepherd’s Pie。 And finally Snacks and Desserts look delicious! I can’t wait to the Cereal Frozen Yogurt bark, Cacio e Pepe popcorn, Vietnamese Iced Coffee Granita and the Mexican Hot Chocolate Fudge Pops! I think this is going to be a fun and helpful cookbook to enjoy for years to come and I highly recommend to everyone!
